What is Higgy Con?
Higgy Con is a big, heart-filled gathering for kids and teens with scoliosis (and the people who love them). Think panels, encouragement, community, crafts, and a whole lot of “You’re not alone.”
Who is it for?
Kids and teens with scoliosis, their parents, siblings and supportive friends. Higgy Con's programming is designed for kids and teens with scoliosis ages 5-15. Teens up to 19 are welcome to come!
Where & When?
Hurst Conference Center
July 16-18, 2027
Day: 8:30-4:30
Night: 6:30-8:30
Thursday Night- Family Social & Check-In (Exact Time TBD)
Friday & Saturday: 8:30-4:30 & 6:30-8:30
Sunday: Optional Water Park Day at NrH20 Water Park!

VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE AND MESSAGE FROM LAUREN
Hi Higgy Families! I wanted to share an important update about Higgy Con 2027.
I spoke with the convention center, and I will need to sign the contract in December. Right now, I have about 100 people registered, which is a wonderful start! However, I need a minimum of 400 people registered for the finances of Higgy Con to work. There is room for up to 800 people.
If your family is planning to attend, please get your tickets as soon as possible, but at the VERY LATEST by November 30.
You do not have to pay in full by then. You can reserve your spot by setting up a payment plan and making your deposit. Fundraising is also available, and anything you raise can be applied toward your ticket costs.
Before moving forward with Higgy Con 2027, I asked families about the new ticket price and whether they planned to attend. Approximately 200 families told me they were all in. That response gave me the confidence to begin planning another Higgy Con. So far, 28 families have officially registered.
I completely understand that plans can change and that Higgy Con is a significant expense for families. At the same time, an event of this size requires a significant personal financial commitment from me. Before I sign contracts and take on that responsibility, I need to know that families are committed to attending as well.
If at least 400 people are registered by November 30, Higgy Con 2027 will move forward!
If I do not reach 400 people by the deadline, Higgy Con 2027 will not move forward, and all ticket payments and any money raised through Higgy Con fundraising will be refunded.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ANY NONREFUNDABLE OR PERMANENT TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS until you hear directly from me that Higgy Con 2027 has been finalized and is officially moving forward.
If Higgy Con moves forward, tickets may still be available after November 30 if space remains, but ticket prices will increase substantially after the deadline. If you know your family wants to attend, registering now will give you the lowest ticket price while also helping make Higgy Con possible.
I truly hope to see everyone there! Higgy Con is such a special experience for our kids, but I need families to commit before I can confidently make the financial commitment required to make it happen.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Are hotel, food, or travel covered?
A: Food is included.. Travel and hotel are not. Your ticket gives you full access to Higgy Con panels and activities, but families are responsible for their own hotel and travel.
Q: Are there scholarships or discounts?
A: The ticket price is $350 per person so we can cover the cost of the event itself. Please email higgycon@higgybears.com if you would like to discuss fundraising options.
Q: Can siblings come?
A: Yes! Siblings are absolutely welcome. Higgy Con is designed for the whole family to experience together.
Q: What ages is Higgy Con best for?
A: Higgy Con is ideal for kids and teens with scoliosis, generally ages 5-15, Teens up to 19 are welcome.
