Join The Empower Hour and connect with others in the exact same situation, while learning all the skills you need to thrive with scoliosis. The fabulous mental health providers leading The Empower Hour sessions will keep the discussions informative, positive, but, most importantly, fun. You’ll leave these sessions feeling ready to conquer anything life throws your way.
The first four sessions will help you work through everything you may be feeling in a positive, productive way. Once you wrap up these four, you can come back for monthly Empower Hour sessions about a variety of topics, including confidence, setting boundaries, self-care, and so much more.
Embrace the community! Get to know your leaders and fellow attendees.
In Session 2, you’ll learn strategies to help you boost your self-image, body-image, and self-esteem while dealing with scoliosis, bracing, and/or surgery.
In Session 3, you’ll learn how to identify and effectively manage your emotions, along with understanding of how scoliosis impacts your emotions.
In the 4th and final session, you will learn how to identify the signs of stress and how to effectively manage stress when it inevitably comes your way.
The Empower Hour is designed for kids and teens with scoliosis. It is open to both boys and girls. The recommended age range is 8-18. The Empower Hour will touch on all things scoliosis, so it does not matter what type of treatment you are doing for your scoliosis. Everyone will benefit!
When you sign-up for The Empower Hour, you can book the sessions individually or you can book all four sessions as a package and save $20. We highly recommend that you participate in all four Empower Hour sessions to get the most out of the experience! Each session is focused on a different topic that will help you navigate scoliosis and anything life throws your way. However, we acknowledge that scheduling conflicts may arise, which is why we offer the sessions individually.

The Scolios-us Mentor Program offers kids and teens with scoliosis the opportunity to connect with a mentor who can help cheer them on as they navigate scoliosis. You can join the group as a mentor, mentee, or group member. As a mentor, you will be a role model for your mentees and support them along their journey. As a mentee, you are connected with one mentor who will help you through your good and bad days. As a group member, you'll join our group chat and connect with all of our Mentor Program participants.
Another huge benefit of the program is connecting with fellow Mentor Program participants through group chats and video calls. You are not going through this alone - you are part of a whole community that is rooting for you!
Whether you are beginning Schroth therapy or bracing or heading into surgery, you can connect with a mentor who knows exactly what you're going through. Especially when you first find out about your scoliosis, talking with a fellow member of the scoli squad can be incredibly powerful and helpful as you adjust to a new normal.
I created daily, weekly, monthly, 6 month, and 12 month trackers. Included in each file are pages for anyone's brace hours goal. They start at 30 minutes and go up to 23 hours a day. Find the page that corresponds with your current brace goal and print that page only. The idea is to color in each page to "fill up the brace" with your brace hours.
I also am including a rewards tracker that you can use to stay moviated and brace hour scheduling charts for each day of the week so you can plan your hours around activities you may have.
If anything else would be helpful, please let me know and I'll see if I can create it for you!
